Details

The rotary cutting machine SMM 40 has been designed to cut material such as plastic, rubber, shrinkable tube and similar material in extrusion process.

In order to evenly distribute the pressure force over the material, the SMM 40 has been equipped with a particularly long pulling device. The belt-distance is adjusted mechanically by means of the hand wheel.

When processing with a motor driven fly cutter which produces a continuous pull, the SMM 40 is able to cut short lengths at high extrusion speed. Alternatively, the machine can process in start-stop-mode to cut for example long lengths. The cutting blade is positioned in the cutting head and can easily be replaced

Additionally, the SMM 40 has been fitted with a motor driven rotating knife, which can also be used to cut in either start-stop-mode or continuous run. Operating speed and rotating direction can be selected.
